How bitwisecs uses your information

Last updated 1 November 2026

Who runs this site

bitwisecs is a revision site run by a Computer Science teacher for their own classes. It isn’t open to the public: only students, parents and the teacher who have been added by the teacher can sign in. Questions about your information go to kakbar@dubaiheightsacademy.com.

What we keep

  • Your name and email address, and Google’s ID for your account (so you can sign in). We don’t get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
  • Your class, and, if you set them, your exam date and how long you plan to revise each day.
  • Your work on the site: practice papers, mock exams and their marks, quiz and live quiz answers, Python code you check, flashcard progress, and how confident you feel about each topic.
  • Your questions to the AI tutor and its replies.
  • What you do and when: sign-ins, lessons read, papers started and finished, and how many minutes the site was open and in use each day.
  • Comments your teacher writes on your work.

Who can see it

  • You can see your own work, marks and chats.
  • Your teacher can see everything above for students in their classes.
  • Parents the teacher has added can view their own child’s activity, results, homework and tutor chats, but can’t change anything. A chat the tutor flagged for the teacher (see below) isn’t shown to parents.
  • Other students can’t see your work. In a live class quiz, answers on the class screen are anonymous unless the teacher chooses to show names.

We never sell your information, show adverts, or share it with anyone not listed on this page.

The AI tutor and marking

The tutor, marking, model answers and other AI features use Claude, made by Anthropic. When you use them, your question or answer and short passages from your class’s course materials are sent to Anthropic to produce a reply. Your name and email are not sent. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, this information isn’t used to train its AI models.

The tutor only uses your class’s course materials, not the internet. It may be wrong, so check with your teacher if something doesn’t look right.

Keeping you safe

If you write something in a tutor chat that suggests you or someone else might be at risk, the tutor alerts your teacher privately. The teacher gets an email with your name, class and a one-line reason (not your message), then reads the chat on the site and follows the school’s safeguarding procedure.

Services that help run the site

  • Render hosts the site and its database, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, with a daily backup.
  • Google handles signing in.
  • Anthropic provides the AI features, as described above.
  • Resend sends emails to the teacher (safeguarding alerts and a weekly summary).
  • jsDelivr delivers the Python interpreter to your browser. Your code runs on your own device, not on a server.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. There are no tracking or advertising cookies. If you install the site on your phone, it also stores a small offline page on your device.

How long we keep it, and your choices

Your information is kept while you’re in one of the teacher’s classes. When you leave, or if you or your parent ask, the teacher deletes your account and everything linked to it. Backups are overwritten within 7 days.

You or your parent can ask for a copy of your information or for it to be corrected or deleted at any time by emailing kakbar@dubaiheightsacademy.com.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top will change too.
